POTTERY COURSES
Come and discover the art of pottery in Gascony (French Tuscany).
Pottery courses are suitable for both adults and children are guided by myself, Hilary.
Various options are available, with durations ranging from 1 hour to week long courses.
For courses lasting two days or more, lunch is included in the price (meals prepared by yours truly).
All materials and firing is included in the price!
Accommodation is available as well.
The various options available are:
Option #1: 4-hour wheel throwing course over 2 days - ideal for beginners.
Option #2: 8-hour wheel throwing course over 2 days - for beginners or to improve skills.
Option #3: 1-hour slab building course - ideal for families.
Option #4: 2-hour slab building course - themed, for making gifts.
Option #5: 20-hour wheel throwing course over 5 days - comprehensive option, ideal for learning all the steps.
The options are detailed below.
#1: 4-hour course
Wheel throwing course over 2 half-days. You will have the opportunity to make pottery, from throwing to trimming. Ideal for beginners!
Duration: 2 half-days, over two consecutive days (either from 10 am to 12 pm or from 2 to 4 pm).
Price: 80€/ person (min. 3 / max. 6 people)
*(up to 6 pieces per person).
#2: 2-day course
Allows for a larger production of pottery. The longer duration enables participants to improve their skills.
Duration: 2 full consecutive days (from 10 am to 3 pm). Lunch included!
Price: 190€/ person (min. 3 / max. 6 people)
*(up to 12 pieces per person).
#3: A family pottery workshop!
For example, you can make your own breakfast set: a plate and a bowl.
Duration: 1 hour (time to be determined). At least one adult for three children.
Price: 30€/person (min. 3 / max. 9 pers.)
*(1 plate and 1 bowl/pers.)
#4: Hand building workshop
Create your own tableware by rolling clay and placing it in a mould. You can even personalize it by imprinting objects and stamps.
Duration: 2 consecutive hours (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., your choice).
Price : 75€/person (min. 3 / max. 6 pers.)
*Up to 2 kg of finished pieces, beyond which a supplement may apply.
#5: 5-day workshop
Immerse yourself in a pottery workshop! This complete formula allows you to participate in all the steps necessary to create finished pottery.
Duration : 5 consecutive days (10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm over 5 days, a total of 20h)
Price : 475€/person (min. 3 / max. 6 pers.)
* Up to 4 kg of finished pieces, over that a supplement may apply.
